General School Rules and Regulations :
- Be punctual, report to school and class on time. School begins at 09:00 a.m. students are requested to be in the campus on or before 08:45 a.m. and the school gate will be closed by 08:45 a.m. If any student arrives to school after 08:45 a.m, he/she should wait out of the gate until the completion of the morning assembly, also he/she needs to report to the ofce to receive an admit slip to enter into the class.
- Clean and proper School uniform is to be worn on all the school days. A student who is slovenly dressed may not be allowed to the classes.
- For Boys : Strictly adhere to the patterns of uniform prescribed by the school. Trendy tight (Pencil cut-pant), Jeans, Colorless T-shirts, Ear Studs, Bangles/Bracelets/Any Sort of Threads, Rings/Jewells & indecent alteration of pants are not permitted.
- For Girls :
* G01-G05 : Centre parted comb put two plaits and fold them to make loops using ribbon tapes. Short hair to be off forehead with hair band.
G06-G10 : Dress the hair in ponytail. Short hair to be off forehead with hair band.
* Costume Jewellery, bangles, hanging ear rings, applying Mehendi, nail polish & tattoo are not permitted. Only one pair of ear rings (STUDS) are allowed.
- Any photograph to be attested by the authority of the school must be snapped in school uniform only.
- All the students should be keen in keeping their classrooms and the school premises clean and tidy.
- The students are not allowed to bring any kind of valuables like cell phones, electronic gadgets, cameras, transistors, precious coins, stones or any item of jewelleries like chain, rings, etc, to the school. The School will not be responsible for loss of any such article if brought by the students.
- The students are expected to be disciplined in their general behaviours.
- Irregular attendance, habitual late-arrival, idleness, negligence of homework, disobedience and disrespect or any other reprehensible behaviour towards teachers and others may entail dismissal from the school. Students are accountable to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school.
- Every student must take part in all the curricular and co-curricular activities unless declared unt or exempted by the Organizers.
- Parents and students are advised to park their vehicles only in the parking space at their own risk.
- Students are neither allowed to use the school telephone without permission nor they be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
- Extra books, newspapers or periodicals must not be brought to the school without prior permission of the school authorities.
- No collection for any purpose, whatsoever, shall be made in the school without the prior permission of the Principal. Money should not be lent nor borrowed, nor articles be exchanged by the students among themselves.
- The Institution does not hold responsibility for accidents and loss of items or valuables etc. although proper care is taken to prevent such occurrences.
- All the students must extend co-operation in taking care of all the property of the School. The students should not scratch or spoil the desks, benches, chairs nor damage any school furniture nor write or draw any thing on the walls nor damage the belongings of others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Grade Mentor. Recovery against any such damage must be done up by the concerned student (s) together with a ne imposed on him/her /them for such a misdeed. Such misdeeds may entail expulsion from the school.
- Students are advised to avoid buying unhygienic eatables.
- Students should behave in a gentle manner wherever they go. They should remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their seniors, teachers and elders whenever and wherever they meet them.
- Firing crackers, splashing colours, using popper buster, cake cuttings & using snow spray in school premises is strictly prohibited. Non compliance to these instructions may result in expulsion from the school.
- No child is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal during the school hours. Such permission will be granted only on the specic request of the parents in writing.
- In case of prolonged illness, the Principal/HM/PRO should be informed.
- No pupil is allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher.
- Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms without the permission of the Principal.
- Every student must cover their text books properly in prescribed covers only, and label them positively.
- All parents/guardians must ensure that their wards complete their projects/home assignments on time.
- Ensure that your child brings the Organizer to school everyday. Fill the details of your ward on the front page of the school Organizer.
- Kindly ensure your ward packs his/her school Organizer / Notebooks/ Stationaries as per the daily school timetable only, so that school bag is not overloaded.
- If a student is absent on a day when there is a class test/FA’s/SA’s, No retest will be conducted for them unless satised with valid reasons.
- Parents can visit the school website : www.gnanajyothi.in to get all the latest information from school.
- The school’s e-care provides login ID for parents, to login to get all the information regarding academic and activity reports.
- The school sends regular messages to the parents regarding general information as well as particular information of your ward’s attendance, failure in completing the daily works and class notes etc. If you get a message from the school stating that your ward is absent from school, kindly cross check the fact before getting panic. This is to ensure that there
is a proper communication channel between parents and teachers.
- Parents are expected to attend Parent teacher meeting regularly organized by school to discuss the development and progress of their ward/s .
- Change in the address/mobile number of the parents/guardians must be intimated to the ofce without any delay.
- The school neither encourages nor permits students to open an account on social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram etc. If any accounts found in the name of the student, the severe action will be taken against the student.
- Parents should ensure whether the boys should have close cut short hair style, girls should have fancy hair style and girls hair should be plaited and also the nail of the ward is trimmed or not.
- Parents should ensure whether the student is dressed in neatly washed and pressed uniform only. Everyday complete uniform, nails & hair style will be checked by the SUC members to develop the good discipline in the student.
- Since it is a co-ed school, it is expected that students should behave well mannered, which brings a good name to the school community. They should not include in any Anti-Social activity, inside or outside the school.
- Student should observe rules of discipline of the school and maintain good behavior. In case any student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, necessary action will be initiated by the legal committee to modify such behavior.
- Without prior permission of the Principal, no student are allowed to take any tuitions from outsiders after the school hours.
- It is compulsory for students to complete 90% attendance in the year to make them eligible to appear for nal examination. In case students fall short of attendance, they will not be eligible for any academic prize. Attendance is compulsory for all celebrations of national events, special assemblies and open house events.
